Mentoring

  • Ruthvik S. Pallagatti. Co-evolution of host dispersal and parasite virulence in complex landscapes. MEME M1, 2023. Univ. Montpellier, France (co-supervised with Emanuel A. Fronhofer). Ruthvik studied the co-evolution between host dispersal and parasite virulence in complex landscapes. He analysed inidivdual-based models.

Teaching

  • 2024: One day of teaching fitting population models using Bayesian statistics in the course: Theory-driven Analysis of Ecological Data – 2024 organised by CESAB and GdR TheoMoDive.
  • 2023: Designed and taught (12 h) a course on developing and analysing individual-based models in ecology and evolution. The course was for Masters students in the IDIL program of the Université de Montpellier, Montpellier, France.
  • 2023: One day of teaching fitting population models using Bayesian statistics in the course: Theory-driven Analysis of Ecological Data – 2023 organised by CESAB and GdR TheoMoDive.
  • 2022: Presented to an undergraduate class on applying individual-based models in research organised by Dr. Korinna Alhoff (University of Hohenheim).
  • 2022: Metapopulation and metacommunity models to marine biologists during SEA UNICORN COST action training school organised by Dr. Audrey Darnaud (UMR MARBEC) with Dr. Emanuel A. Fronhofer.
